Love Your Mother!
Try to love your Mother. After all, She gives you life day after day providing all you need. Whatever actions you choose, whether it is what you dispose of or what you produce, do it with love. Would you create something that would hurt your own mother? Would you throw something harmful at her?

My Mother, I Love You
By Lisa Venable
Surrounded.
Surrounded by beauty. Surrounded by Love.
Pink petals blossom against blue sky
Green buds dance softly in the wind
Blue waters shimmer in the gentle sun
My Mother, you are my Love
Your trees give me breath
Your flowers give me hope
Your winged ones give me flight
Your waters give me life
You remind me that I am the strong oak, the precious pine,
the magnolia shining sheer beauty.
I am the smiling daffodil, the elegant tulip, the sensuous orchid.
I am the wise eagle, the sweet songbird, the pregnant robin.
I am the vast ocean, the winding river, and the babbling brook.
And I am the tree being cut down, the bird becoming extinct, the water...
polluted...by me.
Each moment I remember to Love you, I become you.
My Mother, You are my Love. You are my life.
And I will remember.
TIPS to LOVE YOUR MOTHER
Thank you for honoring the Earth!
Let's be mindful of our massive waste and change our practices to support the earth and ourselves.
- Please remember that plastic disposable products are not biodegradable. Imagine them loading down Mother Earth. (Ex. One disposable diaper takes about 100 years to transmute.)
- Please think about how many trees are cut down when you use paper products. (Trees = Oxygen = Sustained life and balanced temperatures.)
Here are some helpful ideas that can reduce waste, support the Earth and ultimately, human life.
- Bring your own mugs/cups to coffee shops. Many offer a discount for doing this. Ask them to promote those discounts more!
- PLEASE use dishes as much as possible vs. disposable products like paper and plastic. Buy lightweight re-usable plastic dishes (often available in summer months) that can be easily washed. Bring them to potlucks, parties, etc.
- Stop using non-recyclable plastic. Ask the delis at your grocery store to stop as well.
- Use TUPPERWARE at home for storing food vs. plastic bags. Also, try wax paper bags or ones made from corn.
- Stop using straws. They are plastic and often unnecessary (except in health circumstances).
- Buy CLOTH napkins that are easy to wash.
- Use rags for cleaning vs. paper towels.
- Use towels or dryers in the bathrooms vs. paper towels.
ANOTHER WAY YOU CAN HELP!
- Print the letter below.
- Bring it to local coffee shop owners or other places that overuse disposable products.
- Urge them to be GREEN and protect the planet.

- PROMOTE customers to bring in their own mugs/cups by posting a sign that offers a discount for doing this. Sell these mugs with extra marketing!
- PLEASE use dishes as much as possible vs. disposable products like paper and plastic. Over time, a dishwasher will cost less or the same as the cost of paper/plastic products and will help SAVE THE PLANET.
- Please consider not using non-recyclable plastic. Try using re-usable plastic plates, etc. that can easily be washed.
- If you use recyclable plastic, please make sure to have a recycle bin for it.
- Stop using straws. They are plastic and unnecessary except for medical needs.
- Use towels in the bathrooms or dryers vs. paper towels.
